Salutations at the Lotus feet of my Guru, Rashtra Rishi Shri Lahiri Guruji!

The Ramayana and The Mahabharata are indisputably two of the most brilliant Epics mankind has ever seen. For decades, reputed Historians, scholars, intellectuals, even ordinary individuals have been debating whether The Ramayana or The Mahabharata are true stories or they’re just mythology. Their credibility has always been questioned but all of this discussion sidelines the fact that they are essentially such profound, deep, spiritual, powerful stories. I’ll be focusing on The Ramayana in particular.

Irrespective of whether they’re myth or reality, even if we keep in mind that they might be tales by some storyteller, there is SO much to learn from them, such deep spiritual values to imbibe within ourselves, and the Ramayana covers everything from individual growth to the overall growth of society right from daily life, the thoughts that govern us, the economics, politics, science etc. Let me tell you how.

“Ram Tatva”- I’m sure the word sounds very intimidating or perhaps even alien to some, but trust me when I tell you this, it is the MOST relevant thing/word/feeling/ I have ever come across or had the fortune of trying to understand! Lord Ram is the first thing which came to my mind when I heard the word ‘Ram Tatva’ for the very first time. Ever since, trying to get to the word’s essence has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! As we all know, Lord Ram IS the very manifestation of Selfless ego-less Hindutva Sadhna whose life exemplified Adhyatma at each and every step. Despite being the son of King Dashratha, one of the powerful rulers of India, he sacrificed luxury, complacency, idle-ness and laxity from a very young age as he pledged to empower the weakest sections of the Hindu society through whom he vanquished anti-national forces present in the form of Ravana! On Ravana’s orders the Yagyas of various sages were disrupted and they were killed, hence giving rise to anti-hindu activities. Lord Ram empowered the Vaanar samaaj of that time and destroyed Ravana rather than seeking Ayodhya’s army’s help. Now how do we relate this to our present lives you might ask? Hindutva is 4304841448_683823fd41everything, our very essence, the root of everything, the solution to everything. Without it, our lives, this entire universe has no value, no meaning and today, our Sanatan Dharma (Hindutva) is trapped in the shackles of social evils like casteism and discrimination on the basis of a lot of other trivial, pointless divisive barriers. All thanks to the demonic forces who led us to believe that we’re everything (Jaat, Rajput, Brahmin, Patel) BUT Hindu! Integrating the weakest, the most underprivileged and marginalized sections of the Hindu society, with mainstream Hindutva is the way our nation can progress at all! Doing this will be following Lord Ram and awakening Ram Tatva inside ourselves!

Ram Tatva Sadhna is not merely ‘doing good’. Empowering yourself for the upliftment of the marginalized rather than merely your own selfish gains is what Ram Tatva truly is. A section in the Yog Vashisht reads that when Lord Ram went to Maharshi Vashisht for acquiring knowledge and education, he was asked “Who has come to gain knowledge?” to which he replied “The knowledge that is worth acquiring and the person who has come to acquire it is all is what I have come to learn.” Maharishi Vashisht was the one who evoked Ram Tatva in Lord Ram!

So, Ram Tatva does not belong to any one person in particular, it exists within each and every person, but it has to realised. It is realised when we transcend our Ego, fear and materialistic desires and are willing to think beyond ourselves. Ram Tatva is within you and honestly, if you truly want to awaken it within yourself, NO force on the face of this Universe can stop you from doing so!

Ram Tatva is the increasingly relevant phenomenon in today’s lord-ramaprogressive, forward, competitive world as we forget to remember the core of our very existence, the root of everything is Hindutva and integrating Ram Tatva into our lives is a million steps forward in our journey of realizing Truth. (Truth is that which establishes Dharma – Hindutva).

The name we always relate with Truth, sacrifice and a self-less, ego-less life is Raja Harishchandra’s, who was the 36th King of the Solar Dynasty (Surya Vansham). He is known to be the very embodiment, the very manifestation of Truth. In spite of being one of the greatest rulers of India, he along with his wife and son, accepted a life full of extreme hardships and thus, never let his focus shift from his duties and responsibilities. Such was his rigidity towards Truth and Dharma. He agreed to hand over his entire kingdom to Sage Vishwamitra and walked out with his wife and son and had to undergo exceedingly harsh circumstances subsequently but he never deviated from his path of Sangharsha Sadhna.

He followed the path of Ram Tatva Sadhna throughout his life with total surrender and this is an example of how stalwart, resolute you have to be to achieve almost anything in life!

All of us should make a choice NOW, to be a part of the great Ram Tatva Sadhna and build an empowered, powerful nation!
